Every new enemy (I estimate there are around 150 of them) has unique paper-doll animations, its own unique death animation, and a collection of hilarious lines to deliver. The humour is endlessly and effortlessly brilliant. While the new ingredients above aren't breathtaking in the changes they make, the reason for buying a whole new Bookworm game (rather than simply replaying the original - the grids are random, it is in effect infinitely replayable) is to experience the abundance of joy that comes with it. Peggle Nights really didn't feel like anything new at all, remarkably only adding a new character at the very end, and Bejeweled Twist seemed like a backward step from the perfect original.īookworm Adventure 2 breaks this habit beautifully. However, PopCap has perhaps had a little trouble with sequels in the past. It's taking a solid idea and infusing it with astonishing charm. Peggle, a fantastic format for fun, is so much better because of the characters, wit and sound effects.
One thing is for sure, I'm certainly glad I purchased the Bookworm Collection from Wal-Mart when I did, I'm not as hurt as the others that only purchased the game from Steam since it was pulled from Steam.Those familiar with PopCap games may sensibly have high expectations. I wouldn't mind purchasing them on Steam, but I do prefer the physical copies. There is empty space on my shelf right this minute next to my "Wordy Word Bundle." My shelf is waiting for more Bookworm Adventures titles to fill the gap! If not Bookworm Adventures, give us a similar / same game with a new title. One reason I didn't mind paying for them, I'm very particular of the games I purchase, I have to be very intrigued by them. I paid full price for the "Wordy Word Bundle" physical disc set straight out of Wal-Mart and I didn't mind it one bit, neither did I hesitate! I still have them on my shelf unscratched and they will never be for sale.
Give us newer titles and sequels after the 2nd Bookworm Adventures game. I've play the 1st two titles and won them over and over again.
I would like more of these Bookworm Adventures games. I would also like to see this game back on Steam! It's my most favorite PC word game! Please do talk to the creators of this game if you can.
